In Case of Emergency

On trains in Europe there are little hammers in the compartments which can be used to break windows to get out in case of an emergency. I thought these instructions were pretty funny.
During an emergency:
1. Take hammer and break inner pane of glass. Clear broken glass away.
2. Break second pane of glass which will only shatter, but will stay in place.
3. Cut a hole in second pane of glass cutting all the way across. Then climb out through the jagged hole left in the glass.
I think I'll take my chances staying on the train. Also I think it is a stretch to consider that only 3 steps.
