Palatine Hill

I decided my second day in Rome would be Ancient Rome day. I visited Palatine Hill, the Colosseum and other Roman ruins throughout the day. Today was another day on my trip where I had a sense of awe of ancient history. Many of the ruins are very well preserved. I think some building had been restored, but most things were as built. It was amazing to walk around Palatine Hill and imagine the thriving civilization that existed here more than 2000 years ago. The history is almost too much to comprehend.
