A View of Switzerland

Here is a view of the Southern part of Switzerland courtesy of Google Earth. This view is looking East from France. Lausanne is on the North side of Lake Geneva. Geneva is on the west part just outside of the image. The big valley heading east is the Rhone river valley which starts in the high alps and flows through Lake Geneva and France to the Mediterranean. Switzerland is a fairly small country. In this image you can see Italy on the lower right (along the Southern CH Border), France in the lower right corner and Austria far out in the distance to the upper left. The really high alps are along the border between Switzerland and Italy. Mont Blanc, the highest point in Western Europe, is where the borders of Italy, France and Switzerland meet. Gryon is not in the really high alps, but it is right in the middle of things.
