Map Room


The Vatican Museum is considered one of the world's great museums. The roof of the sistine chapel is its crown jewel and when you enter the museum there is a sea of people heading in that direction. Many of them fail to notice the rooms on the way there like this one. The map room has amazing painted ceiling and murals of maps of every part of Italy covering the walls. Every square inch of the long rooms leading up to the sistine chapel is exquisitely painted. Here is a room on the ground floor:
